Life Happens. So Does Healing. Keep Going.

In the last 7 years I have shared my struggle with depression which has led many people to share their own struggles with me. One recurring factor I have noticed as a trigger is disappointment and a feeling of near hopelessness. A few people who had considered Suicide did so because they couldn’t handle the disappointments life dealt them. Yet disappointment is part of life and living.

We make our best plans and add buffers to them. We think these plans are foolproof but life is said to be what happens when we are making plans. So life happens. And because we didn’t plan to be disappointed we are unable to handle the fallout from that and how to proceed therefrom. Our buffer many times do not include a possibility of failure and a reservoir full of hope.

It’s Monday and a whole new week. I pray that your plans work well. But I encourage you to accept every disappointment as a call to review your plan and strategy and try again. And again. It is my hope that you learn to realise that hope is infinite and can take us through many cycles of finite disappointments until we attain our goal.

Amen.

Have a productive day and week ahead.
